Outreach Partners
Hope for Hungry Kids
is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2013 to provide funds for the food budget for Jyothi’s Home for Children, an orphanage in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. The orphanage was founded in 1997 by Jyothi Kumar Reddi and currently houses 500 children. He receives no funding through his country and relies on generous donation from friends, churches and other organizations.
There are several ways that you can help this organization. One way to help support Hope for Hungry Kids is through child sponsorship. By sponsoring a child you help in providing supplies, clothing and much needed care for the many orphans currently at Jyothi’s Home for Children. A child can be sponsored for $30.00 a month. Another way you can help is make a one-time gift donation.
Each year we also host a HFHK Golf tournament (4-man Captain’s Choice) in April or May. All the funds raised for this event will go to supporting the orphanage in India.
Each and every donation is greatly appreciated and feeding these children would be impossible without these generous donations. For more information on these programs with Hope for Hungry Kids or ways you can become involved, please contact Jamey Green: jameygreen@hopeforhungrykids.org
Room in the Inn
Room in the Inn is held each year from December thru March as these are some of the coldest times of the year. This is an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to the homeless “neighbors” from Urban Ministry. Room in the Inn is held the 1st and 3rd Friday and Saturday of the month here at the church. We provide our neighbors a safe place to enjoy a warm meal, a hot shower, a time to hear God’s Word, time of fellowship with the RITI volunteers and a comfortable bed to sleep in. On Saturday mornings, our neighbors will enjoy a warm breakfast and more fellowship time before going back to Urban Ministry. There are so many areas to volunteer at with Room in the Inn from the Food Team, Set-up/Tear-down Team, Laundry, Security (day and overnight), Van Drivers and Ride Along. For more information about Room in the Inn and how to become involved, Click Here!
HeartBeats – A Pregnancy Care Center
Heartbeats – A Pregnancy Care center exists to assist women to carry to term by providing emotional support and practical assistance. Through God’s people and the community at large, women can face the future with hope and plan constructively for themselves and their babies.
There are several ways that you can become involved to help Heartbeats succeed in their mission. Through the “Baby Bottle Boomerang” fundraiser which is held at the end of April. Take a specially labeled baby bottle – fill a bottle with change and change a life.
The other way is the Annual Pregnancy Care Center Walk 4 Life Event. This is a fun family-friendly 2 mile walk, a 5k Trail Run and a Motorcycle Ride that is held at the Denver Baptist Church – West Campus in September. Fundraising for this event starts in August.
All the money raised is given to the Pregnancy Care Center. For more information on how you can become involved, please email us at: connect@pursuitchurch.org

4:12 Student Ministries
4:12 Student Ministries Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2015 to develop and empower selfless leaders in the lives of the next generation by uncovering their identity in Christ. The ministry currently serves 70-90 students from multiple backgrounds every Thursday afternoon, providing transportation from 2 elementary schools and 1 middle school in the Maiden, NC community. Students are brought to Lawings Chapel Baptist Church where they are provided an afterschool snack, participate in team building activities, inreach opportunities, and receive the gospel through worship, bible study, and prayer led by church and community leaders. 4:12 relies solely upon financial donations and the willingness of volunteers to provide transportation, a place to meet, and offer student support, engagement, and discipleship.
