2024 Missions and Outreach Opportunities
Western North Carolina Tiny Home Project
There is an opportunity in WNC (Weaverville, NC) to build tiny homes for families that still need shelter. There are over 300 families approved, however they need help getting these shelters built.
They are needing specifically carpenters (people that are knowledgable on cutting lumber, nailing, insulating, etc.) They also need hands to do clean up, move things, organize, etc.
For more information or to get involved and help these families please email our Missions and Outreach Director, Ryan Smith at ryansmith@pursuitchurch.org or call/text him at (704) 308-1528.
Room In The Inn
For the past 10+ years Pursuit Church has opened its facilities to provide shelter and food for homeless people during the winter months, December 1 – March 31. This year is different, we will be partnering with 10 other churches in the local community to make this happen every Friday night. We also will be picking up the Neighbors from Lincoln County.
We will offer a warm, safe place to sleep, serves two hot meals (dinner and breakfast) and then return our guests the following morning to downtown Lincolnton. The program offers a unique way for people of faith to become directly involved with individuals who are homeless. The basic goal is to keep homeless people from freezing on cold winter nights. A greater goal is to provide a more personal relationship to homeless people, at least for a night, and to foster a deeper understanding of the depth and complexity of the issue.
Our next scheduled date to serve will be December 27th and 28th.
If you have a desire to help with this ministry please reach out to Ryan Smith at ryansmith@pursuitchurch.org or call/text him at 704-308-1528.

Hope for Hungry Kids
is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2013 to provide funds for the food budget for Jyothi’s Home for Children, an orphanage in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. The orphanage was founded in 1997 by Jyothi Kumar Reddi and currently houses 500 children. He receives no funding through his country and relies on generous donation from friends, churches and other organizations.
There are several ways that you can help this organization. One way to help support Hope for Hungry Kids is through child sponsorship. By sponsoring a child you help in providing supplies, clothing and much needed care for the many orphans currently at Jyothi’s Home for Children. A child can be sponsored for $30.00 a month. Another way you can help is make a one-time gift donation.
Each year we also host a HFHK Golf tournament (4-man Captain’s Choice) in April or May. All the funds raised for this event will go to supporting the orphanage in India.
Each and every donation is greatly appreciated and feeding these children would be impossible without these generous donations. For more information on these programs with Hope for Hungry Kids or ways you can become involved, please contact Jamey Green: jameygreen@hopeforhungrykids.org

HeartBeats – A Pregnancy Care Center
Heartbeats – A Pregnancy Care center exists to assist women to carry to term by providing emotional support and practical assistance. Through God’s people and the community at large, women can face the future with hope and plan constructively for themselves and their babies.
There are several ways that you can become involved to help Heartbeats succeed in their mission. Through the “Baby Bottle Boomerang” fundraiser which is held at the end of April. Take a specially labeled baby bottle – fill a bottle with change and change a life.
The other way is the Annual Pregnancy Care Center Walk 4 Life Event. This is a fun family-friendly 2 mile walk, a 5k Trail Run and a Motorcycle Ride that is held at the Denver Baptist Church – West Campus in September. Fundraising for this event starts in August.
All the money raised is given to the Pregnancy Care Center. For more information on how you can become involved, please email us at: connect@pursuitchurch.org
